A Stay and Play with a difference!

What is Early Explorers?

  • 75 minute stay and play sessions with limited capacity to help create a calm environment
  • Lightly themed play opportunities which change each week
  • Space for caregivers to talk with a good value cafe offer
  • Space for children to explore varied play activities to support their development

We run sessions across the city - booking is essential as there are limited spaces. Choose the one that suits you best and book here.

Our sessions are aimed at 0-4 year olds, carefully planned with reference to Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance and most importantly, are fun!

Structure of sessions

Early Explorers begins with a short time gathered together, singing, reciting rhymes and listening to a story.  In between there is free play to explore this week's theme. To close the session with a song and say goodbye playmates gather together again.

Everyone is offered a ‘Take Home Card’ that includes the words to a song or rhyme, a recommended book to share with your child linked to the session theme and fun ideas to try out at home.

Capacity and environment

To ensure we deliver a quality play session spaces are limited to help create a safe, calm and fun environment for all. Booking is essential - choose your session and book above. We cannot guarantee a space if you haven't reserved in advance.

You can Pay for a Term to get one session free or Pay As You Go should this suit your schedule better, bookings are open up to 12 hours before a session.

We just ask you let us know if you've booked and then unable to attend a session, to open up the opportunity for another playmate. Where possible, we will do our best to transfer your booking to another session.
