What is Early Explorers?

  • 75 minute stay and play sessions for under 5s with small group capacity to help create a calm environment
  • Lightly themed play opportunities which change each week
  • Space for caregivers to share stories with good quality hot drinks
  • Space for children to explore varied play activities to support their development

We run sessions at two different times - booking is recommended as there are limited spaces.

Our sessions are aimed at 0-4 year olds, carefully planned with reference to Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance and most importantly, are fun!

Structure of sessions

Early Explorers begins with a short time gathered together, singing, reciting rhymes and listening to a story.  In between there is free play to explore this week's theme. To close the session with a song and say goodbye playmates gather together again.

Everyone is offered a ‘Take Home Card’ that includes the words to a song or rhyme, a recommended book to share with your child linked to the session theme and fun ideas to try out at home.

Capacity and environment

To ensure we deliver a quality play session spaces are limited to help create a safe, calm and fun environment for all. We recommend guaranteeing a space by reserving in advance - you can choose your session and book above.

You can Pay for All 4 sessions for best value or Pay As You Go should this suit your schedule better, bookings are open up to 12 hours before a session.

We just ask you let us know if you've booked and then unable to attend a session, to open up the opportunity for another playmate. Where possible, we will do our best to transfer your booking to another session.
Thoroughly organised activities with different themes each week to keep the children engaged"
