..Warm calm friendly atmosphere with just enough content activity theme related for the session for the children to easily engage.. " We were so excited to start our first play sessions at Wolves Play Cafe in February. Thanks to partnership working with the Light House Cafe in the city centre and Gatis Community Space in Whitmore Reans we held our first play sessions on 25th and 26th February. Each session has been running from 10.00-12.00 with time for parents and caregivers of under 5s to talk, play opportunities for little ones to explore based on Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and a theme each week led by an Early Years Specialist. So far we've explored themes of 'At the Farm', 'Ice' and 'Night' with plenty more themes to come through the rest of the sessions in March and April. Sessions are Pay as You Feel, with suggested donations of £2 or a purchase of a refreshment to support the staff and resources needed. We've been having so much fun and can't wait for more playing! Little ones and their parents and carers have also been sharing useful feedback for us to use to develop the play sessions and Wolves Play Cafe further. The sessions have been so popular at The Light House we are fully booked for the remaining dates there, but you can join us at Gatis Community Space on 26th March, 2nd April and 9th April by booking here: Play. Look out for our next steps to help build Wolverhampton's first city-centre Early Years Play Cafe . We loved it. It was exactly the kind of group that I have been looking for "
